Trout fishing spots in the North of Pakistan:

Kaghan Valley:
Kaghan Valley has some of Pakistan’s best trout fishing and six authorized reaches in the Naran locality.

Kalam Valley:
In Kalam Valley there are many well-known spots for fishing.
MAHODAND means “Lake of fishes”. The lake is surrounded by Pine trees and beautiful grassy meadows. The KUNDALU LAKE is between Utror and Gabral and excellent for Trout fishing.

Gilgit:
PHANDUR LAKE is magnificient with the Ghizer River.The lake is situated at the altitude of about 2800m, is well-stocked with trouts. The HANDRAP LAKE is also well-known for its trout fishing which is situated at west of Phander.  

Skardu:
SATPARA LAKE is situated 8km south of Skardu twon. Satpara Lake is beautiful lake in Skardu and also well-stocked with trout fishes.

There are also many well-known spots in Northern Areas of Pakistan, like Rama Lake in Astore and Deoasi Plateau (highest plateau in the world) and in Chitral Valley for trout fishing.

ITINERARY - 1
Day-01 Arrival to Islamabad airport and transfer to the hotel, in the balance of time sightseeing of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Overnight at hotel
Day-02 Fly to Skardu, the capital of Baltistan located at the elevation of 7500ft (2438m) from the sea level in the backdrop of mighty peaks of Karakuram mountain range. Baltistan is known as the “LITTLE TIBET” since its lifestyle reflects that of the roof of the world and land of lamas.

The flight from Islamabad to Skardu is an unforgettable experience, with a breath taking view of the snow-capped peaks of famous Nanga Parbat 8125m. This mountain flight is just like air-safari. Arrival to Skardu and transfer to the hotel, visit to the old Fort and Bazaar, overnight at hotel
Day-03 Proceed to Satpara Lake, eight kilometer south of Skardu, is 20 minutes driver or 2-hrs steep walk. You may also visit to the Satpara Buddha, on large face of the rock. Camp at the bank of Lake, at the evening you may walk around the lake and fishing. Overnight at the camps.
Day-04 Full-day fishing
Day-05  Drive to Deosai Plateau (3800m) about 25-km up from Satpara Lake. Overnight in the camps at the bank of Deosai Lake.
Day-06 Full-day fishing
Day-07 Drive back to Skardu overnight at hotel
Day-08 Full-day excursion to Shigar Valley and back to Skardu for overnight at hotel
Day-09 Departure for Hunza Valley 8-9hrs drives, overnight at hotel in Karimabad.
Day-10 Sightseeing in Karimabad, visit to Baltit and Altit Forts, at the evening drive or walk to Duikar 3000m, highest point of the valley. Overnight at hotel
Day-11 Drive to Punial 5-6hrs/camp
Day-12 Continue to Phander 6-7hrs/camp
Day-13 Full-day fishing at Phunder Lake
Day-14 Proceed to Chitral 7-8hrs via Shandur Pass 3800m. Chitral is an isolated 320km long valley in the northwestern corner of Pakistan at the elevation of 1278m with an area of 5600 square miles. The Hindu-Kush range dominated by mount Tirchmir 7708m separates it from Afghanistan and Uzbekistan on the west and north. Overnight at hotel
Day-15 Fishing at Lotkuh River
Day-16 Drive to Kalash valley, overnight at hotel or camp
Day-17 Drive back to Chitral/hotel
Day-18 Continue to Swat via Loweri Pass 3200m, which offers the excellent views of Dorsh Valley on a side and Dir on other side. Overnight at hotel
Day-19 Proceed to Peshawar via Taket-Bahi, overnight at hotel
Day-20 Continue to Islamabad 3-4hrs drive, en-route visit to Taxila. Overnight at hotel
Day-21 Fly back to homeland (drop to airport)




ITINERARY - 2
Day-01 Arrival to Islamabad airport and transfer to the hotel, sightseeing of Islamabad and Rawalpindi
Day-02 Drive to Balakot 5-6hrs drives, overnight at hotel
Day-03 Continue to Naran Valley/hotel
Day-04 Full-day fishing in the Kunhar River and in various lakes
Day-05  Full-day fishing
Day-06 Full-day to Saiful Muluk Lake, about 10-km from Naran, is 3200m high providing an awe-inspiring view of Malik Parbat
Day-07 Continue to Chilas via Babu Sar Pass 4150m high and is the gateway to Gilgit. You may catch a glimpse of the towering Nanga Parbat 8125m and this is the highest point, which marks the end of Naran Valley. Overnight at hotel in Chilas.
Day-08 Drive to Astore Valley 2150m and camp at Rama Lake
Day-09 Fishing at Rama Lake/camp
Day-10 Departure for Tarushing and overnight at camps
Day-11 Continue to Deosai Lake/camp
Day-12 Full-day fishing
Day-13 Drive to Satpara Lake/camp
Day-14 Fishing in Satpara Lake
Day-15 Fishing in Satpara Lake and evening drive to Skardu for overnight at hotel
Day-16 Fly to Islamabad
Day-17 Full-day excursion to Taxila or Murree and back to Islamabad for overnight
Day-18 Fly back to homeland, drop to the airport
