Along the Karakuram Highway:

Gilgit–Hunza–Nagar–Khunjerab Pass

This program allows you to discover the regions in different dimension. The highlight of this trip is HUNZA VALLEY. The Hunza is comprises of number of villages. Karimabad is the main center of Hunza Valley is like stage setting. The attractive Valley is encircled with mountains as Ulter Peak 7238 m, Rakaposhi 7788 m, Diran Peak 7256 m and Golden Peak 7027 m, undoubtedly the most prominent and well known mountains in Gilgit/Hunza area. Hunzakuts are famed for long lively some to over 100 years. Until 1974 Hunza was an independent kingdom, greatly isolated from the rest of the country until the completion of the Karakuram Highway to CHINA in 1978.

We will travel on the Karakuram Highway, 8th wonder of the world, also called the old Silk Road, which was also used by Marco Polo. The Karakuram Highway leads to China via Khunjerab Pass 4733 m, opened in 1982. It is the world highest paved boarder crossing. This is modern wonder of the world, 900 km in length with its end trail into China also known as a friendship Highway between China and Pakistan. This program gives you unique experience by sightseeing of towns sites with different tribes and wonderful nature where Himalayas, Karakuram and Hindu-Kush ranges meet together.

On return you will turn to the Swat Valley from Besham and leave the Karakuram Highway. You will make sightseeing in Swat, visit to the Museum and other sites.

Full day to Taxila, visit to Dharmarajika remains and Stupa, it is also known as Chir Tope was once considered nearly the 2nd holiest place of Buddhism. Also to the Taxila Gandhara MUSEUM, treasure of the Gandhara sculptures, JAULIAN, the ancient university and other important sites of Gandhara.

Day-04

Excursion to KHYBER PASS, is one of the most important and famous passes of the world, located in the Khyber Agency. This Pass connects Central Asia with the South Asian Sub Continent. This 4 kilometers long Pass starts from the foot of the hills near Jamrud and ends at Torkham on Pakistan-Afghanistan border. Being the shortest route to the South Asian Sub Continent, most of the races and invading armies marched through this Pass. When the British invaded Afghanistan, they sent their forces along the same Pass.

Khyber Pass has a very rich history Buddhism spread through this Pass to Afghanistan and the stupas at Ali Masjid and Sphola bear witness to it. The Afghans against the invading armies fought many battles here. Amir Taimur built a prison in the Pass, which is visible from Michni Post. Akbar the Great built a fortes at Kafirkot, near Charbagh. The Mughal army of Aurangzeb was massacred near Landikotal in 1672 AD. The Sikhs built a strong fort at Jamrud where General Hari Singh Nalwa was killed in 1837.

Day-06   Visit to Swat MUSEUM, the archaeological finds belong to Gandhara Buddhist art of Swat. The samples of local embroidery, jewelry and carved wood objects are display.
Day-07 Drive to Dir, and visit to CHAKDARA FORT, the Mughals built this fort here in 1586, which was later occupied by British in 1895, who built the present Fort in 1896. Also to the CHADARA MUSEUM, which has an excellent collection of Buddhist Gandhara Art, from first to seventh century AD. Overnight at hotel in Dir

Day-01 Arrival to Islamabad and transfer to the hotel, in rest of the sightseeing in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
Day-02 Drive to Chilas (11-12 hrs) on Karakuram Highway, 8th wonder of the world. Overnight at hotel
Day-03 Continue two hours to Riakot Bridge then transfer to the local jeeps and drive (1-2hrs) to Tato village, where jeep road ends, 2-3hrs easy walk to FAIRY MEADOW. Overnight at hotel. Fairy Meadow is situated at the base of Nanga Parbat with the elevation of approximately 3280m from the sea level. The meadow are flowers strewn high altitude alpine pastures situated amongst pine forest, with an imposing backdrop massive North face of NANGA PARBAT, the world's ninth highest mountain. Here is wonderful place for camping.
Day-04 Trek to Beyal (3500m), is easy trek 2-3 hrs through meadows and pine forest typically a less crowed campsite. Overnight in camps
Day-05  Excursion to Nanga Parbat Base Camp (3967m). It is three to four hours trek to the Base Camp for impressive views of its north face and of Raikot Peak (7070m). From Beyal Camp continue south along the west margin of the forest valley, a crossing snout of Ganalo Glacier. Follow the trail to flower-filled meadows beyond, which is the Drexell Monument to a German climber killed on Nanga Parbat beneath Raikot and Ganalo (6606m) Peak.  A long spring flows from under a boulder here. And decent two to three hours to Beyal or Fairy Meadow for overnight in camps.
Day-06 One to two hours walk to the Tato then drive 7-8 hrs to Skardu overnight at hotel
Day-07 Day free for sightseeing in Skardu and camp at Satapara Lake.
Day-08 Drive to Trashing Astor Valley via Deoasi plateau. The Deosai plain (4000 m), a vast high altitude plateau covering an area of over 400 square km, south and west of Skardu, borders on Indian Kashmir. In Baltiti, the region is known as “Bhear Sar” means place of flowers. Nowhere lower than 4000 m, this uninhabited alpine grassland has numerous clear streams with unusual snow trout, a large brown bear population and multitude of golden marmots. Deosai is surprisingly rich in plants and animals, bursting into life during the brief spring and summer months. The plateau is home to the Himalayan Brown Bear, unique to this part of the world. Other mammals found on Deosai included Tibetan Wolf, Tibetan Red Fox, Himalayan Ibex etc.  Overnight at camps in Trashing
Day-09 5-6hrs trek to Herligkoffer Base Camp (3656m) that is Rupal face of Nanga Parbat. The trail climbs the lateral moraine of Trashing Glacier before crossing the glacier on a good path reach, the settlement of Rupal divided into upper and lower village ahead Herligkoffer Base Camp an ideal spot with wood, flowers and clear spring water. Overnight in camps
Day-10 Trek back to Trashing/camp
Day-11 Drive to beautiful Rama Lake (3482m)/camp
Day-12 Day free for local hiking/camp
Day-13 Proceed to Gilgit overnight at hotel
Day-14 Day free for sightseeing/hotel
